Jules Maenen

Jules Maenen

Julius ("Jules") Hermanus Maenen (born January 15, 1932 in Valkenswaard, Noord-Brabant – died February 11, 2007) was a road bicycle and track cyclist from the Netherlands, who represented his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland.

There he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the men's 4.000m team pursuit, alongside Adrie Voorting, Daan de Groot and Jan Plantaz. In the men's individual road Maenen did not finish. He was a professional road cyclist from 1952 to 1958, claiming the silver medal at the Dutch National Road Championship in 1957, behind Wim van Est.
