Small nucleolar RNA U83B

Small nucleolar RNA U83B

U83B belongs to the C/D family of snoRNAs. U83B like U83A has no documented RNA target and they share the same host gene with the C/D box snoRNA U43 (RPL3). [cite journal | last = Duga | first = S | coauthors = Asselta R, Malcovati M, Tenchini ML, Ronchi S, Simonic T | year = 2000 | title = The intron-containing L3 ribosomal protein gene (RPL3): sequence analysis and identification of U43 and of two novel intronic small nucleolar RNAs | journal = Biochim Biophys Acta. | volume = 1490 | pages = 225–236 | pmid = 10684968] N.B. U83A/B/C have no sequence similarity with the U83 snoRNA that was cloned by Jady and Kiss (2000).
