Elisha Gallico ben Gabriel (died at
Safed about 1583) was Palestinian JewishTalmudist . He was a pupil ofJoseph Caro .After the death of his master, Gallico was nominated chief of the "
yeshibah " of Safed. He is frequently mentioned in the responsa collection "Abḳat Rokel," in which "responsum" No. 84 belongs to him.Ḥayyim Benvenisti quotes Gallico's responsa in his "Keneset ha-Gedolah."Gallico wrote homiletic-allegorical commentaries on '
