Katapady is a village near the town of
Udupi inKarnataka ,India . It is situated at the junction where national highway NH-17 meets the roads leading toMatti(village) andShankarapura . The village is well known for Matti Gulla ( Brinjal ) and Jasmine ( Mallige inTulu ) flowers. Its name is derived from the word "Kattu paadi" which means "Tie together" in tulu.There are all types of people living here christians,hindus and muslims.There is a famous temple called "Sri Kalikamba Vishwakarmeshwara Temple" which is revered by people of
