Paul Campion is an English/ New Zealand film director, film visual effects artist and illustrator.

Born in England, Campion trained as a technical illustrator. He began his career as a freelance illustrator and was represented by Folio Artists Agents in London. He created book cover illustrations for authors such as Wilbur Smith and Ben Elton, but is best know for his horror illustration.

In 1999 he completed a Masters Degree in Computer Animation at [Bournemouth University] [ [http://www.3dyanimacion.com/entrevistas/entrevistas.cfm?link=pcampionconsteng001 "3DA.com - Web Interview"] ] , and then moved to New Zealand to work on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, as a texture painter, creating textures for creatures such as the Balrog, "Mûmakil", Fellbeast and Shelob.

He has since worked on Sin City, Constantine, X-Men 3, The Da Vinci Code, The Waterhorse and the remake of The Dambusters.

In 2006 he established a working relationshop with film producer Elisabeth Pinto, and directed his first short film, the black comedy horror Night of the Hell Hamsters.

Campion is currently in development on two horror feature film projects with Elisabeth Pinto, one of which is based on Brian Keene's best selling novel Terminal.
