African-American entertainer of the early twentieth century, now remembered primarily for his elegant style intap dancing . Wiggins worked as a performer at the legendaryHoofers Club on "Swing Street " inHarlem ,New York , where he inspiredLaurence Donald "Baby Laurence" Jackson (later a member of theTap Dance Hall of Fame ).
