State Route 177 is a three-mile long route in Jackson in the southwestern part of the state. The southern terminus of the route is at its junction with U.S. Highway 43 south of Jackson, and the northern terminus of the route is north of Jackson at US-43.

Route description

Prior to 1970, U.S. Highway 43 passed through Jackson. With the completion of a by-pass to the west of the city, U.S. Highway 43 was moved to the new roadway, and State Route 177 was designated along the former U.S. Highway. State Route 177, a three-mile long route, serves as the southern terminus of State Route 69, one of the longest state routes in Alabama.
