Raja Dato’ Seri Ashman Shah

His Royal Highness, Yang Amat Mulia Raja Dato' Seri Ashman Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Shah is a member of Perak Royal Family. He was born on December 28, 1958. Raja Dato' Seri Ashman is the son of Sultan Azlan Shah, the present Sultan of Perak. He was conferred the title of Yang Amat Mulia Raja Kechil Bongsu Perak Darul Ridzuan on May 11, 1987. He was given the more senior title of Raja Kechil Tengah on 10 March 1998.

Education

Raja Dato' Seri Ashman holds a Degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham, England, a Master of Laws from Cambridge University; Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln's Inn, London, and a Diploma in Business Law from University of London, England.

Raja Dato' Seri Ashman has held a number of professional positions. These include:

He is married to Datin Sri Noraini Jane binti Tan Sri Kamar ul-Ariffin. He has 2 daughters called Raja Eminah Alliyah binti Raja Ashman Shah, Raja Bainunisa Safia binti Raja Ashman Shah. He also have 1 son called Raja Nazim Muhammad bin Raja Ashman Shah.

His Highness also holds an Ijazah (permission of investure) in the Naqshbandiya Haqqaniya Order of Sufism from Shaykh as-Sayyid Muhammad Nazim 'Adil al-Haqqani, the Grand Mufti of Cyprus and Imam of the Naqshbandiya-Haqqaniya Order of Sufism
