Ali Ghaidan Majid

Lt. General Ali Ghaidan Majid is currently the commander of all Iraqi Army ground forces under Iraqi control. (Two of the Iraqi Army's 10 divisions, the 5th and 7th, are under American command.) He is 56 years old and comes from the Balad Ruz area of Diyala province, Iraq. He served in the Iraqi Army during the regime of Saddam Hussein.
