Huron Glacier

Huron Glacier (coord|62|38|00|S|60|05|00|W|type:glacier) is a glacial flow on Livingston Island. This isle forms part of the South Shetland Islands in Antarctica. The glacier runs 8 km eastward from the Wörner Gap until it empties into Moon Bay. The southern edge is bounded by the Tangra Mountains, receiving glacial influx from mountain's slopes and valleys.

Named by the UK-APC in 1958 after the American ship "Huron" (Capt. John Davis) of [New Haven (CT), which visited the South Shetland Islands in 1820-21 and 1821-22.
