- Vale Do Lobo
Vale do Lobo ("Valley of the Wolves" in English) is a tourism-geared town twenty minutes west of Faro Airport. The town was founded in 1962 and it attracts upwards of 700,000 visitors per year.
The town boasts two golf courses. The 16th hole at the royal course is said to be the most photographed in
Europe . The resort was the first in theAlgarve and is often credited with turning the region into the world-famous holiday destination it is now.According with a 2007 study made by two consulting groups,
Quinta Do Lago along withAlmancil and Vale Do Lobo make up the most expensive real estate region in Portugal, with average land prices of €5000 (circa 6900 USD) per square meter.External links
