Hans-Jürgen Riediger

Hans Jürgen Riediger (* December 20 1955 in Finsterwalde), is former German soccer player. Hans Jürgen Riediger played in his youth time for " Motor Finsterwalde Süd " and came with 14 years to the citizen of Berlin soccer club BFC Dynamo. The striker made already attentive with 34 new generation international matches on himself and came with the play against Hansa Rostock to his GDR first league debut, on August 22 1973. To 26. March 1975, he played approximately Bulgaria the first time for national soccer team of the GDR. With 1976 Summer Games in Montreal, Riediger won the gold medal. With its numerous goals he was considerably involved in the first five Championships of the BFC Dynamo from 1979 to 1983. Altogether Riediger denied 193 plays in GDR first league and obtained thereby 105 goals. Despite his outstanding goal ratio he became never the title goal scorer king of the first league of the GDR, whereby he was subject usually only scarcely to different goal scorer. 1982/83, his last season was at the same time also its strongest: In the first 15 first league plays Riediger obtained 16 goals. However Riediger hurt himself heavily at the knee, so that both the season and its career were prematurely terminated. In the GDR national team, Riediger denied altogether 41 international matches and obtained thereby six goals. After his involuntary career end, Riediger worked as a new generation coach at the BFC Dynamo. In addition it was coach of the under classed club " TSG Fredersdorf " and " Einheit Königswusterhausen ". His son Marcel is likewise soccer player. He played among other things with the BFC Dynamo and Erzgebirge Aue (only as test player).
