The
church is independent and evangelical and although it is not allied to a particular denomination, it has close links with the other churches in the town. It belongs to a national organisation called theEvangelical Alliance .The church is led by five elders and eight deacons and there is no paid minister. The elders are responsible for the spiritual teaching and growth of the members helped by the deacons who also look after the practical side of running the church.
Adult believers'
baptism is offered for those who desire it but this is not a condition of membership. They do not practise infantbaptism but we provide a service of dedication for babies and small children when parents can give thanks for the gift of the child and make promises to bring him or her up in the knowledge and love ofGod .Both the church and elders are registered to conduct weddings.
