Akitua

Akitua

Akitua is one of 22 islands in the Aitutaki atoll of the Cook Islands. It is a tiny islet on the northeastern perimeter of Aitutaki Lagoon. It is apparently owned by the Aitutaki Lagoon resort & Spa , a 5 star hotel equipped with luxury bungalows, restaurant and bar. The island is easily reachable by kayak or swimming from the Samade on the beach restaurant and is the first island(motu) encountered leaving Aituaki mainland. It is known for its beautiful turquoise, indigo blue, beach.
