Sardar Sayab Khalid

Sardar Sayab Khalid was born on 26-03-1940 in Chirroti village P.O. Paniola Poonch District, Azad Kashmir. He was the Former Speaker of AJK Legislative Assembly and Minister of AJK. He had his basic education at Chirroti and F.A from Rawalakot College and obtained a B.A from Mirpur College.

He Completed his law from the University of Peshawar and he went on to join All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference in 1964 as a student. Sardar Sayab Khalid was elected Member of Legislative Assembely in 1986 on Special seat and again in 1991. From 1991-96 he served as Minister of LAW,Serivers,electricity.

In the elections of 2001 he won from Sardar Khalid Ibriam S/o Sardar Muhammad Ibriam KHAN(late) who was President of AJK that time. He was nominated by Sardar Abdul Quyyum Khan as a SPEAKER OF Legislative Assembly. He represented the Kashmiris in the OIC Conference held in June 2005 in Yemen. He visited different countries lobbying for the Kashmir Issue.
