Ezra Furman & the Harpoons are a three-piece rock band comprising of Ezra Furman (guitar and vocals), Job Mukkada (bass guitar), and Adam Abrutyn (drums). In June 2006, they self-released their first album, "Beat Beat Beat", which was recorded in a series of college dorm rooms at Tufts University and engineered by Sood and Dave Kant from Outtake Records. In August 2007, the group released their debut album "Banging Down the Doors" produced by Brian Deck for Minty Fresh Records. Banging Down The Doors was met with critical acclaim, making several best of 2007 lists. Their newest album, "Inside the Human Body" is slated for an October 7th, 2008 release.

Their sophomore album, Inside the Human Body, is slated for release by Minty Fresh Records on October 7, 2008, with an internet release preceding it.

During their years at Tufts University, they played shows on the weekends in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, and during the summers they toured around the United States. In the summer of 2008 they debuted at the XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, NJ, as well as the first 80/35 festival in Des Moines, IA.
