Joseph E. Lambert

Joseph E. Lambert is a former chief justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court. He was elected to the court in 1988 from the state's Third Supreme Court District (the south-central portion of the state).

He graduated from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky with a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration in 1970, and from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1974.

He worked in private practice in Mount Vernon, Kentucky until joining the Kentucky Supreme Court in 1988. He became Deputy Chief Justice in 1996 and Chief Justice on October 2 1998.
