Stanislav Menshikov

Stanislav Menshikov, born 1927, is a Russian economist. He is the author of numerous books, and co-authored, with John Kenneth Galbraith, "Capitalism, Communism and Coexistence" in 1988. [http://post.economics.harvard.edu/faculty/galbraith/bio.html] He is married to fellow economist Larissa Klimenko-Menshikova.

In the late seventies, Menshikov spent six years on the Secretariat of the United Nations in New York, during which time he was often asked to make predictions about the US economy by the "New York Times". [http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1132/is_n8_v44/ai_13370528]

Menshikov holds a position at the Central Institute of Mathematics at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. He has been active with the LaRouche Movement's Schiller Institute and has spoken at their conferences, [http://www.schillerinstitute.org/conf-iclc/2001/conf_prog_may_2001.html] along with his colleague Sergei Glazyev.
