Evan Leong

Evan Leong is the co-founder and CEO of two Hawaii-based companies: Greater Good Inc. and Bubble Tea Supply.

In 2001 Evan co-founded Bubble Tea Supply, which launched the national bubble tea drink craze.Fact|date=May 2007 Run by Evan and his wife, the company distributes product throughout North America, Hawaii, Guam and Saipan. This makes the Leongs one of the nation’s largest suppliers of the bubble tea product.Fact|date=May 2007 Under their direction, Bubble Tea Supply has for four consecutive years, won the prestigious Gold Medal Taste Award from the American Tasting Institute; an award which had not been claimed by any Hawaii company in 24 years. Education

Evan attended Punahou School and graduated Cum Laude from Hawaii Pacific University where he was the first recipient of the Distinguished Certificate of Business Excellence. Evan is also a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. He obtained his Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2005.

Community leadership

Evan is the Chairman of the Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration Committee and a member of the Mayor’s Pacific Century Fellows. He is also a coach for the University of Hawaii's PACE Business Plan Competition, and on the committee of the Aloha Council’s "Learning for Life" Program. Evan coached the championship high school pole vault team for his alma mater Punahou School in 1999 and 2002.

In July 2005, Evan co-founded the community-orientated radio show Greater Good Radio. The show is designed to mentor up-and-coming local leaders by giving them access to the candid experiences and life philosophies of the most successful business and community leaders in Hawaii. In producing this radio program, Evan has worked to leverage the media, encouraging a new community-giving-driven business ethic for the next generation of Hawaii’s leaders. January 2007 witnessed the birth of Greater Good Television. In 11 months the greatergoodradio.com site has received visitors from 90 countries, 11 million hits and close to 660,000 page views. A year and 115 guests later, Honolulu mayor Mufi Hannemann declared the month of September, "Greater Good Month", in recognition of Greater Good Inc.’s mission – and Evan and Kari’s advocacy of social entrepreneurship and servant leadership. On a larger scale, Greater Good Month recognizes professionals and business leaders who not only strive for career and business success, but also endeavor in giving back to the community.

Branching from Greater Good Radio is Evan’s Kokua Project, dedicated to working with kids. This project allows Hawaii high school and college students to receive hands-on experience in the local work force to gain knowledge of the business world while earning class credits for graduation.

In 2006, Evan was recognized by Pacific Business News in their "Forty under 40" business award. He was also selected as one of Hawaii¹s 2006 "Top High Tech Leaders" on behalf of the Pacific Technology Foundation and the Technology News Network.

Evan is married with two children.
