The southern terminus of the route is at its junction with U.S. Highway 90 near Spanish Fort. The northern terminus of the route is at its junction with U.S. Highway 31, also near Spanish Fort.
Route description
State Route 181 is aligned along a four-lane divided roadway for its brief existence. It connects Interstate 10 with both U.S. Highway 90, which is to its south, and U.S. Highway 31, which is to its north. South of State Route 181’s terminus at US-90, the route continues as Baldwin County Road 27.
