Jim Van Bebber

Jim Van Bebber is an American film director. Van Bebber attended Wright State University where he studied cinema. Instead of using a bank loan to pay for a second year of college, he used the money to finance "Deadbeat at Dawn" and founded the indie film company Asmodeus Productions with several colleagues. Both "Deadbeat at Dawn" and "The Manson Family" (which took over 10 years to complete) have since become cult classics.

Van Bebber has directed music videos for bands such as Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, Skinny Puppy & Necrophagia.

Van Bebber won a scholarship to film school based on his eight millimeter kung fu epic "Into the Black", a clear prototype for "Deadbeat at Dawn".
