The South American Club Championship (Portuguese: "Campeonato Sul-americano de Clubes Campeões", Spanish: "Copa de Campeones Sudamericanos") was a football competition played by some 1947 champions throughout South America, held in Santiago, Chile in 1948 and won by Vasco da Gama, the tournament is considered by Conmebol as the forerunner of the Copa Libertadores de América.
