Stefan Klocek

Stefan Klocek (born May 17, 1975) is a noted Northern California technology expert with concurrent fine arts achievements that has helped cement his reputation from the Silicon Valley to San Francisco and across Northern California as one of the new breed of Web technologists and artists.

Klocek is most recognized for his work in Web-based communications, from online learning to marketing to journalism. He has recently accepted a Design Communicator position at Cooper [http://www.cooper.com] a digital products and services consulting firm. As a Design Communicator, he leads teams in communicating research, requirements, and design solutions. He served as Director of Program Development for three years, at Australian-based A.S.K. Learning [http://www.asklearning.com/web/defaultflash.cfm] in San Francisco, where he designed and managed internationally recognized eLearning solutions.

Klocek was a co-founder of and Web Media Designer at Videometry [http://www.videometry.com/] , designing and implementing business models as well as key positions at Cisco Systems [http://www.cisco.com/] and Art Director at Meyer Sound Labs [http://www.meyersound.com/] in Berkeley.

Klocek first became notable for his instrumental work in helping create NewsPort.org [http://NewsPort.org] , one of the very first online journalism publications that consisted entirely of wholly original news and information content. NewsPort was built out of the Journalism Department at San Francisco State University [http://www.journalism.sfsu.edu/] and captured international attention for its groundbreaking in-depth journalism in a truly multimedia format.

In addition, Klocek is a recognized artist with sequential gallery shows for his photographic art [http://deliciousblur.com/] across the San Francisco arts scene, in addition to having been a member of several musical ensembles in his spare time. Moreover, his work with pyrotechnics has drawn some attention in the North Coast community.

Stefan Klocek graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University, with aB.A. in Communications Studies. He grew up in the Sacramento California area as the oldest of three boys, where his family still resides. He recently married in late spring of 2007.
