Letters and Colours

Letters and Colours

Letters and Colours were formed in late 2003 by Sheffield University students David Jaques (Guitar) and Gerry Miller (Vocals, keys, guitar). Over the next year the line up was completed by Ian Baxter (Bass) and Paul Roberts (Drums). Baxter left the band to concentrate on drumming duties in Sheffield band The Yell, to be replaced by Ric Griffiths in 2005.Since then the band have played shows all over the UK, building up a strong fanbase and self releasing their debut single 'Confrontation/Bigger Than Life' in 2005 accompanied by a Nationwide tour. The bands song 'Alpha' was included in Alt Delete's era defining compilation "Digital Penetration" in 2005. In April 2007 the band released "Gaunt/Plan A" on Mother Tongue. The song was recorded by Sheffield musician/producer Alan Smyth. The band split in the summer of 2007. After the split Gerry produced material under the monicker of Hören, and Paul currently plays drums with Penny Broadhurst and the Maffickers.
