Indigoecho

Indigoecho

Indigoecho was a four-piece indie rock band from 1998 to 2004.

Based in Edinburgh, the band featured Andrew Weir on drumkit and vocals, Clive Parnell on guitars and vocals, Gary Francis on bass guitar and Richard Brown on lead guitar.

The band played over 200 gigs to thousands of people in venues, at festivals and churches across Great Britain and Ireland. These included Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Greenbelt Festival and Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms.

Their blend of melodic, hook-laden rock and hope-fuelled lyrics were charged with a live energy and commitment to a blistering live show. From their first gig - 2000 people in the place that would soon house the Scottish Parliament - this band wanted to connect with their audience.

The recorded works of Indigoecho capture some of this live passion and desire to connect, from debut album "One" in 2001 through the double-A-side single "Fade Away/Coming Home" in 2002 to "illuminate" in 2003.

Indigoecho played their last gig in Edinburgh on 3 November 2004.
