Teal Ponds

Teal Ponds

Teal Ponds (coord|54|19|S|36|27|W|) is a series of ponds in a tussock-covered valley 0.3 miles (0.5 km) south of Dartmouth Point, on the east side of Moraine Fjord, South Georgia. Roughly surveyed by Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1951 and named after the South Georgia teal, flocks of which frequent the ponds.
