He played two years as a small forward with
Indian Hills Community College before transferring his junior year to play at Cincinnati. As a sophomore at Indian Hills C.C., he was named National Junior College Player of the Year after leading team to second straight national championship. After two productive seasons in Cincinnati, being named an Honorable MentionAll-American byAssociated Press as a senior, Mickeal entered the2000 NBA Draft . After being selected, he participated in training camp with the Mavericks, but never played for them in an actual game. He was waived, but was soon signed as a free agent by theNew York Knicks . He was on the injured reserve his entire time as a Knick and was waved later in the season.The ABA
After his unsuccessful run in the
NBA , Mickeal went on to have great success within the ABA with theTampa Bay ThunderDawgs , and particularly theKansas City Knights . Leading the Knights to a 32-5 record in 2002, Mickeal's team would win that years championship and he was awarded the league MVP award. After the 2002 season in the ABA, Mickeal signed with the
Talk 'N Text Phone Pals team of thePhilippine Basketball Association . He led the league in scoring his first season, as well as leading his team to the league championship. In 2002-03, he drew attention one last time from the NBA, being signed to a practice-squad contract with theHouston Rockets before being waived a week later. He would return overseas in 2004, this time playing in the Greek League forPeristeri BC and laterMakedonikos BC , with a brief 2004 interlude in Russia with Dynamo Moscow. In 2005, he moved to Spain with Breogán. After a season there, he went toSouth Korea for the 2006-07 season, playing withDaegu Orions , before returning to Spain with TAU.References
