Shane Demond Youman (born October 11, 1979 in New Iberia, Louisiana) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent.

Youman stands at 6' 4", and weighs 220 pounds. He attended Louisiana State. He made his major league debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 10, by|2006. He got his first career win on July 3, by|2007 against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Youman is a classic "crafty" left-handed pitcher, with a fastball in the 84-88 MPH range and a hard slider, as well as a changeup.

Youman was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies on November 28, 2007. On March 19, by|2008, he was sent outright to the minors, but was released in June.
