Savio College, Dingli

Savio College, Dingli

----Savio College is a boys', secondary, church school. It is situated in the west of Malta, in the lovely village of Dingli. The Salesians of Don Bosco run this school. The school is called Savio College for one of Don Boscos's students, St. Domenic Savio.

Entry to the school in Form 1 requires a student in Year 6 to sit for the Common Entrance Examination. The students are then sorted according to the total marks they obtained and the choose the school they wish according to the position they gain; however, if for example the 56th student chose Savio College and there are no vacant places, he will not be able to choose this school. In fact over the last couple of years Savio College has had no vacant places after only a small number of students that chose, this year being the 70th place. This is because it has gained the fame of one of the most prominent secondary schools in Malta due to its extracurricular activities and the excellent academic achievements of the students attending there. We can say that this is one of the best schools in Malta.
