Sabit Orujov

Sabit Atayevich Orujev ( 30 May, 1912, Baku20 April, 1981, Moscow) Azerbaijani Soviet politician, Deputy Prime-minister of Azerbaijan SSR (1957-1959), Deputy Minister of Oil Extracting Industry of USSR (1965-1972), Minister of Gas Industry of USSR (1972-1981) and member of Central Committee of Communist Party of Soviet Union (1981).

He was a laureate of the USSR State Prize (twice: 1951 and 1959), Lenin Prize (1970), three Orders of Lenin, October Revolution order, four Red Labour Banner orders, Hero of Socialist Labour (1980).
