In the grounds of the school is the Vale of Catmose Sports Centre including the swimming pool which was refurbished in 2007. There is also the Catmose Gallery and the Catmose Theatre.

In December 2007, VCC won the Leicestershire & Rutland Schools' County Cup. They beat JCC 5-3 in the final, making them the best school football team in Leicestershire.
