Chris Wright (basketball player)

Chris Wright is a 6'1" 190 lbs student athlete for the Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team. He is a Shooting guard but can also play as a combo guard. He is originally from Bowie, Maryland. In 2007 he was a McDonalds All-American and had the opportunity to play in the Jordan Brand Classic. In the McDonalds All-American game he was crowned as the 3 point shooting champion. In 2007 he averaged 30 points per game while leading his team to a second place finish in the toughest high school basketball confrenece in America, the WCAC. Once at Georgetown, on September 27th 2007, it was announced that Chris had broken is ankle during a pick up game, and that he would miss the "early part of the seaon" [http://guhoyas.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/092707aac.html] . Despite this, he was able to play the first eleven games of the 2007-2008 season, where he averaged 6.2 points a game. He scored a career high 14 points against Jacksonville with 5 assists [http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=273430046] . Chris reinjured his ankle sometime in December 2007, and missed the next eighteen games. On March 13, 2008 Chris made his first appearance since the injury, playing in the second round of the Big East Men's Basketball Tournament against Villanova University, scoring 6 points.
