The Romaniacs

The Romaniacs

The Romaniacs was a Canadian band formed in 1984 and disbanded in 1995. They described their style as "musical ethno-fusion" combining Eastern European, Gypsy Jazz, and pop. They made extensive use of costumes and props, including a large map, during their live shows.

Members of the band included:
* Calvin Cairns (aka myron joseph king romaniac) - violin
* Steve Bengtson (aka Steffy Levine) - mandolin and vocals
* Scott White - bass
* Ron Thompson - guitar
* Richard Baker - guitar

In addition to touring extensively in Canada and USA, the group also toured once in Australia.

They released a total of three albums:

* Ethno-Fusion
* World on Fire
* [unknown title] (Compilation released only in Japan)
