- Udyan Express
Udyan Express is a
train linking the financial capital ofMumbai ,India to the silicon valley of India,Bangalore . It takes roughly 24 hours to cover the distance of 1218 km, and commuters have repeatedly demanded in media the converting of the train to a superfast train .The train is also criticized heavily in the media for using diesel engine on the oldest electriifed Mumbai-Pune track and wasting fuel, as well as spoiling the environment of scenic khanadala ghat, eg in the dailies "Maharashtra times" and "Navbharat Times" in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Ironically the train is named the "Udyan Express" as Bangalore is a green city with many gardens.
