SMS Stettin

SMS Stettin

SMS "Stettin" was a "Königsberg" class light cruiser of the Kaiserliche Marine, laid down at AG Vulcan Stettin shipyard in 1906, launched on March 7, 1907, and commissioned on July 29, 1907. The ship served in European waters during World War I, participating in the Battle of Heligoland Bight in 1914 and the Battle of Jutland in 1916. From 1917 it was used as a training ship, and there were plans to rebuild it into a seaplane carrier like its sister ship "Stuttgart", but the war ended before this was carried out. The ship was delivered to England and scrapped in 1920.
