Ganesh Pyne

Ganesh Pyne (bengali: গণেশ পাইন) is a renowned Calcutta born Indian painter.

Biographical

Pyne was born in Calcutta in 1937. He was a student at the Government College of Arts & Craft, Calcutta between 1955 and 1959. Surprisingly he held his first solo exhibition as late as 1988 at The Village Gallery, New Delhi.

Artistic Approach

Pyne started as a watercolourist in the Bengal School mode.
