John Johnson (Ohio)

John Johnson ( 1805 – February 5, 1867) was a Democratic U.S. Representative from Ohio.

Born in Ireland, he moved to the U.S. and came to live in Coshocton County, Ohio. He entered politics in 1843, serving in the Ohio Senate, then later as a delegate from Coshocton County to the Ohio state Constitutional Convention in 1850 and 1851. Later he served as a U.S. Representative from Ohio's 16th District from 1851 to 1853.

He is buried at Oakbridge Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio.
