St Mirin's Academy was a
Catholic seniorsecondary school for boys founded in 1922 inPaisley ,Scotland and dedicated to St Mirin thepatron saint of the town and of theDiocese of Paisley . The original buildings were located in East Buchanan Street next to St Mirin's Church. In 1933 the school relocated to new buildings in Renfrew Road. St Mirin's Academy ceased to exist in 1976 when it amalgamated withSt Margaret's Senior Secondary school for girls to becomeSt Mirin's and St Margaret's High School . The Academy'sLatin motto was "Fortis et Fidelis" ("Brave and Faithful"). There has been no school in the town of Paisley named for St Mirin since 2001.Famous alumni
