Linda Crippes (b. in
Fort Worth, Texas ) is an Americanromance novel author who writes under the pseudonym Elizabeth Elliott. After an extended break in her writing career her fifth novel, "The Assassin", was completed and is scheduled for submission in 2008. All of her novels are published byBantam Books . In addition to writing, she has held various management positions withFortune 500 companies and worked as a management consultant for a variety of smaller businesses, specializing in information technology. She currently lives inMinnesota with her husband.Biography
Linda Crippes was born in
Texas , moved frequently as a child, and traveled extensively as an adult. She now lives on a popular resort lake in Minnesota.Although she never had a particular interest in technology as a child, she went on to receive a
Bachelor of Science degree from theNew York Institute of Technology . Her first computer was the 64th PC offIBM 's production line, and she has been part of theinformation technology revolution since its infancy. She received numerous awards and recognition for her work in the software and information technology fields (she first appeared in Who's Who in American Business at the age of 29). She held the IT Manager positions and was instrumental in initially computerizing the work forces and internal management systems ofSyntex Pharmaceuticals AHD andJostens, Inc. in the 1980s, and numerous smaller companies as a consultant in the 1990s. She also managed and marketed software projects that resulted in multi-million dollar sales.To take a break from technology, she began reading romance novels in the late 1980s and rediscovered her joy of fiction. By the 1990s, she was reading so much that she started working on her own romance novel whenever she ran out of reading material. In her writing career she has received several awards (Waldenbook's Bestselling Debut Author in Romance, Romance Writer's of America Best First Novel) and nominations. Her books are based in
medieval and RegencyEngland , and follow different members and generations of the same families, the English Remmingtons and Montagues, and the Italian Chiavari family.Bibliography
