Stephen Glaister is Professor of Transport and Infrastructure, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering,
Imperial College London . He was a member of the steering group for the Department of Transport’s NationalRoad Pricing Feasibility Study constituted in autumn 2003. Between 1993 and spring 2001 he was an economic adviser to theRail Regulator . He was a member of the UK government’s first Advisory Committee onTrunk Road Assessment and has been Specialist Adviser to the ParliamentarySelect Committee on Transport, as well as an adviser to the Commission for Integrated Transport.He has published widely on transport and also on regulation in the telecommunications, water and gas industries. In 1998 he was awarded the
CBE for services to public transport.Professional Experience
