The Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP is a 24", Flat-Panel, LCD Monitor manufactured by Dell. It is the successor to the UltraSharp 2405fpw. It has a wide aspect ratio of 16:10. This model was largely responsible for large, widescreen flat panels becoming 'mainstream' in the desktop PC market (initially among computing enthusiasts) due to the superior image quality compared to existing products of the same price, and relative affordability. Prices soon began to drop from ~£750 at launch to the ~£400 mark, leading other manufacturers to begin developing larger, cheaper, brighter displays, previously only affordable to professional/specialist users.
