Bishop Machebeuf Catholic High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Denver, Colorado. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.

Background

Founded in 1958 as "Machebeuf High School", it is named after Bishop Joseph P. Machebeuf, Denver's first bishop. In 2007, Bishop Machebeuf was named one of Colorado's top 14 schools, and one of the top 50 Catholic Schools in America.

Athletics

The girls basketball team won the 3A state championship in 2003, followed by another championship in 2006. In 2005, Bishop Machebeuf won the boys' baseball state championship in Class 3A. In 2008, Gabriel Meidl won the 3A State Championship for the 400 meter event in track and field.
