* It is one of the best examples of pre-independence India's development in education and irrigation.
* There is one well-maintained drinking water well developed in the 1930s, and a school is running successfully from 1942 onwards. Many students who have studied in this school settled well inside and outside India. It is also one of the good government schools in the Prakasam District.
* An intermediate college (Subbaramareddy College), offers courses in both English and Telugu.
* Most of the roads are well-maintained, and most of the village roads are cement roads. There are two small parks in the village, and development works are planned for both the parks.
* A well-maintained Post Office and Police Station are there, and new governmentt buildings were constructed for a Hospital, M.R.O. Office and
Mandal Office.* Irrigation is the main source of income for the village. The village is also famous for its temples.
* Many developmental works for the welfare of the common people are carried out in this constituency in the period on 1985 to 1989.
* There are many Social and Cultural activities organised through out the year by the local community in the village. The main attractions are Dasara celebrations, Ganesh chaturdi, Independence day and Sports competitions in the High School.
