Ubroadcast

[http://www2.ubroadcast.com/ ubroadcast] is an Internet radio network that allows members to host a live Internet Talk Radio or Music show. As of 2007, there were thousands of active broadcasters, some of which play genres seldom heard on AM/FM radio. Since broadcasting is done via the Internet, ubroadcast is not subject to censorship or FCC restrictions.

Listening Services

Users hear original ubroadcast, and independent broadcaster's content via the ubroadcast Player software. Unlike other Media Player software, ubroadcast has interactive features to encourage participation from the listener.

Internet Broadcasting Services

Users can create their own radio broadcasts with ubroadcast’s Station Manager software. Broadcast services vary in features and capability, allowing potential customers to select a package to better suit their needs. At the most basic level, Broadcaster to create a playlist of MP3 or WAV files that are streamed to listeners, and can “Go Live” on demand at any time. Advanced users can also relay streams from external sources.

All broadcasters who stream copy written material are subject to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC fees.

History

ubroadcast was founded in January 2006 by John Castiglione and Jason Sunstein in San Diego California, and is a privately held Nevada Corporation. The company spent nearly one year developing and testing its software before releasing it to the public in early 2007. The company has applied for patents on it’s software because of its unique live broadcasting features and it’s proprietary audio format.
