Ernst Horn studied classical music in
Munich ,Freiburg andHamburg and worked as a conductor in state theatres inKarlsruhe andOldenburg . He was also a conductor and a pianist in the Bavarian State Theatre in Munich. In1985 he gave up his career as a conductor so that he could devote himself fully to composing his own music. He also became a specialist onelectronic music . He became famous through the bandDeine Lakaien which he founded in1985 withAlexander Veljanov ; the popularity of this band has far exceeded the borders of the German speaking countries. He has also been successful with many other projects in which he took part - in addition to his activity in the bandsQntal andHelium Vola which playmedieval music he composes and plays electronic music for dramas and radio plays.Ernst Horn lives and works in Munich.
