Justin Eric Curfman (born
September 28 ,1980 ) is a multi-disciplined American artist. - & sole proprietor of the Tephramedia production company (founded in 2004 after the publication of his graphic novel, "Expiration Date" – a collaboration with Curfman as author and Niki Price as illustrator - [ [http://www.amazon.com/dp/0615127657 Amazon.com: Expiration Date: Justin Curfman,Niki Price: Books ] ] .His efforts have extended into music ("Feeding Fingers - http://www.myspace.com/thefeedingfingers"), animated filmmaking ("Zugskin", "Tephrasect", and "Platelets: Lepidopteraphage" [ [http://www.justincurfman.com/films.htm www.JustinCurfman.com ] ] ), and writing ("Expiration Date" and "The Catalog of Absurdity" [ [http://www.justincurfman.com/books.htm Feeding Fingers Audio ] ] ).Curfman has receveived many international awards and recognition for his work in film since 2002 (including the David Lynch Award at Cinerama - 2006 for "Platelets: Lepidopteraphage", Best Animated Film at The Atlanta Underground Film Festival - 2004 - [ [http://www.auff.org Atlanta Underground Film Festival ] ] . He has appeared in Filmmaker Magazine, IndieWire, and several other trade publications.
Curfman is currently working on his first feature-length stop-motion/CG animated film, "Ticks", and will be releasing his first full-length album (titled "Wound In Wall") with his group, "Feeding Fingers" in June, 2007:Curfman: Vocals, Guitar, KeysTodd Caras: Bass, KeysDanny Hunt: PercussionThis was released through his multi-media imprint/label, "Tephramedia". A pilot episode of a television show to be called "The Adjective Show" is rumored to be in production also with his collaborator, Derick Haight.
Curfman currently resides in Georgia, with his girlfriend Corie, and cat MaryKate.
