Unirondack

Camp Unirondack is a camp and conference center located in the Adirondack Mountains near Lowville, New York. The camp was started in 1951 when the New York State Convention of Universalists purchased convert|9|acre|m2 of a peninsula on Beaver Lake. The camp today is Unitarian Universalist in terms of programming and principles, but campers are not required to be UU, though many are.

Though the camp hosts spring and fall sessions as well as work weekends throughout the year, the focus of the camp is the summer sessions. The summer sessions are named after famous Unitarians or Universalists. Each is a week long and is for a specific age range of campers:

Emerson, for grades 4-6

Barton, for grades 4-9

Channing I & II, for grades 7-9

Parker, for grades 7-12

Ballou I & II, for grades 10-12

Family Camp for all ages

The camp also organizes week-long backpacking and canoeing trips throughout the summer.
