B.E.R.E.C.

B.E.R.E.C. was formed in 1906 as the export branch of the Ever Ready battery company and stood for British Ever Ready Electrical Company = BEREC. B.E.R.E.C., like Ever Ready, ceased production in the UK and most of the world in 1980 when Hanson Trust plc acquired the company.fact|date=May 2007 The firm had factories in the UK and to a lesser extent Canada, Daimon in Germany, Superpila in Italy, Eveready in South Africa, Ever Ready in Sri Lanka.fact|date=May 2007. Eveready is a trade name for its American competitors.
