"Feud" was an innovative 1987 computer game for MSX and ZX Spectrum home computers, among others. The player is the sorcerer Learic cursed of aging, and must fight his evil twin Leanoric before his time runs out.

In some countries it was distributed as Halloween.

Story

Learic and Leanoric are twins and powerful sorcerers who hated each other. One day, Leanoric cast an aging curse on Learic. As Learic, you have only 1 day in which to defeat Leanoric before dying.

Gameplay

The game found notoriety by a very unusual gameplay (at the time).

In the game, the only real enemy is Leanoric. To achieve your objective, you must collect many herbs spread through the map and mix it in your cauldron to make offensive and defensive spells. You also had a compass pointing to Leanoric.

Leanoric, as non-player character, had to do the same thing, collecting herbs to mix in his cauldron and then hunt you to attack.

The spells varied from fireballs and lightings to invisibility and even turning peaceful villagers into zombies.

A version of the game was translated to Brazilian Portuguese and is known for a bug that locks the game when using the SPRITES spell, translated in this version to "DEVAS".
