operetta by Hungariancomposer Victor Jacobi . It was premiered on14 November 1911 at the Király Színház (King Theater) inBudapest and was the composer's first significant success not only in Hungary, but also abroad. Thelibretto was by Miklós Bródy andFerenc Martos .English adaptation
The operetta enjoyed English-language productions in 1913, in an adaptation by
